Join UTRGV’s CHAPS program to discover the hidden stories of African-Americans in the Rio Grande Valley.

CHAPS Program Manager, Roseann Bacha-Garza, M.A. will guide us in learning about Black US Troops in the RGV and the underground railroads that helped freedom seekers escape from enslavement and find peace in southern parts of Texas.
