About the library

The Main Library offers 14 Study Rooms that may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance at the Main Library (4001 N. 23rd St., McAllen, TX 78504) available for rental. It is a place where people and ideas meet and connect.

Terms and Conditions for Main Library Study Room Use:

  • Study rooms at the Main Library may be reserved 24 hours in advance.
  • You may reserve a maximum of 4 hours per day.
  • Main Library study rooms can accommodate up to 4 or 8 people. COVID-19 modification: study rooms can accommodate 1 or 2 people.
  • Covered beverages are permitted in the Study Rooms. Food of any kind is not permitted. 
  • Lights must be on at all times in the Study Rooms. If you have a special need for the lights to be dimmed, please inform staff.
  • Latecomers beyond 15 minutes will forfeit their reservation.
  • Breaks of up to 15 minutes are permitted. Please inform staff if you are taking a break from the Study Room.
