Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with an engaging presentation on Rio Grande Valley civil rights history and the movement for social change, presented by Dr. Stephanie Alvarez, Co-Founder of Museo 956 and Professor of Mexican American Studies. Engage in a conversation on how histories of racial violence and colonialism shape the Río Grande Valley and the people and movements that stood & stand up to demand civil rights and social change for Mexican Americans. Join us for an evening of local history, community, and conversation.
