Free Tax Help at McAllen Public Library by appointment only. PLEASE SELECT ONLY ONE APPOINMENT TIME. 

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am-12 noon, drop off method

  • Please bring the following:
  • Social Security Card/ SSA-1099 form for each person claimed on your form
  • Your photo ID
  • Last year's tax return
  • Your checkbook (for refund deposit)
  • All income statements
  • Other related documents

Volunteers cannot prepare state, international, bankruptcy, divorce or military taxes.

The Meeting Center is comprised of indoor and outdoor spaces throughout McAllen Public Library (4001 N. 23rd St., McAllen, TX 78504) available for rental. It is a place where people and ideas meet and connect. As such, the Meeting Center is an ideal setting for your professional or social event.
