Jen Wang presents graphic novels exploring identity, friendship, and connection.

Jen Wang, bestselling author and illustrator, brings two of her most personal and powerful graphic novels to the table: “Ash’s Cabin” and “Stargazing.”

In “Ash’s Cabin,” a teen overwhelmed by the world sets out alone in search of a hidden place from their grandfather’s stories, but survival in the wilderness isn’t as simple as escape. In “Stargazing,” two girls form an unlikely friendship shaped by music, dreams, and a secret that changes everything.

Through her storytelling and artwork, Jen explores themes of isolation, identity, and connection. In this session, she’ll share how these stories came to life, and how comics can hold both quiet truths and big emotions.

Following the session, the author will be signing books in the Computer Lab from 2:30–3:30PM. Book sales will be handled by our exclusive bookseller, The Storybook Garden.
