Author Luis Jaramillo will be at STBF to discuss his book, "Witches of El Paso."
Luis Jaramillo brings us “The Witches of El Paso,” a haunting story that moves between 1940s El Paso, colonial Mexico, and present day. It follows Nena, a teenage girl with strange visions, and her grandniece Marta, a lawyer juggling motherhood, work, and the care of an aging Nena — who’s holding onto secrets from another lifetime. When Marta agrees to help her search for a daughter lost to the past, old powers begin to stir, and both women are pulled into a world where magic and memory refuse to stay buried.
This plática will dig into family, power, and the way the past always finds its way back.
Following the session, the author will be signing books in the Computer Lab from 1:30–2:30PM. Book sales will be handled by our exclusive bookseller, The Storybook Garden.
