Be part of something green and growing at MPL!
On Thursday, March 20th from 9–11AM, we’re unveiling our brand-new Tiny Forest at Orchid Park, a special gift from H-E-B Helping Here and the Friends of Quinta Mazatlán. This project, in partnership with Quinta Mazatlán, brings native plants and green spaces to our community, creating a new outdoor learning environment at Main Library.
Join us in planting native plants at your McAllen Public Library. Tiny Forests are small, very densely planted patches designed to replicate a much larger forest. Over time the Tiny Forest will support birds & butterflies, provide cool and clean air, beautify the area with trees and provide an outdoor classroom for children.
This is a hands-on, family-friendly event where the community can help bring the Tiny Forest to life. Don’t miss this chance to plant, learn, and grow with us!
